Hema is a seasoned engineering academic with 29 years of experience in teaching, training, and multidisciplinary research, holding a Ph.D. in Wireless Sensor Networks with expertise in VLSI Design, Hardware Security, and Biomedical Devices. She has published over 35 research papers, authored two books, and filed several patents.
